RMX-C price by model
Containerized asphalt plants from Roadmixa cost between about $220,000 and $1.08 million FOB China port, depending on the model and configuration. The table shows indicative October 2026 prices for our standard configuration.
| Model | Rated output | Mixer (kg/batch) | Installed power | Indicative FOB price (USD) |
|---|---|---|---|---|
| RMX-C80 | 80 t/h | 1,500 | 245 kW | $220,000 – $270,000 |
| RMX-C120 | 120 t/h | 1,500 | 305 kW | $330,000 – $405,000 |
| RMX-C160 | 160 t/h | 2,250 | 345 kW | $560,000 – $640,000 |
| RMX-C240 | 240 t/h | 3,500 | 505 kW | $700,000 – $780,000 |
| RMX-C320 | 320 t/h | 4,250 | 660 kW | $820,000 – $900,000 |
| RMX-C400 | 400 t/h | 5,500 | 810 kW | $980,000 – $1,080,000 |
The lower figure in each range is the standard plant with a single-fuel burner and one bitumen tank; the upper figure reflects common additions such as a second tank, a dual-fuel burner or a larger control room. Full specifications are on the RMX-C product page.
What you pay for in a containerized design
A containerized plant is a batch plant in a different package, so the process hardware — drum, screen, scales, mixer, baghouse — is comparable to a stationary plant of the same output. The difference in price comes from:
- Module frames built to container dimensions, with lifting points and twist-lock corners
- Pre-wiring and quick connectors between modules, so site wiring is mostly plugging in
- Integrated walkways, ladders and handrails on each module
- Factory pre-assembly and testing of each module before shipping
What it saves you
| Cost item | Stationary plant | Containerized plant |
|---|---|---|
| Concrete foundations | Needed under tower, drum, baghouse, silo, tanks | Not needed — compacted, level pad |
| First installation time | Several weeks after foundations cure | Typically one to two weeks of mechanical installation |
| Each relocation | New foundations, dismantling and re-erecting steel | Lift modules, truck them, re-level on a new pad |
| Ocean freight handling | Mixed loose sections and crates | Standard container and flat-rack units |
For a single, permanent site, a stationary batch plant usually has the lower total cost. Once the plant moves even once, the containerized design tends to catch up — and on overseas projects, the simpler freight handling counts from day one.
Costs to add beyond the FOB price
| Item | Notes for containerized plants |
|---|---|
| Sea freight | Priced per container and flat rack — ask for the packing list with the quote |
| Duties and taxes | Depend on your country’s tariff for HS 8474 and any trade agreement |
| Inland transport | Standard trucks for most modules; check the heaviest piece |
| Site pad | Gravel or stabilized base to the loads on our layout drawing |
| Crane hire | For unloading and placing modules |
| Installation supervision and training | Quoted separately by engineer days |
| Power | Grid connection or generator for the installed kW |
How to compare containerized plant quotes
- Check that each quote is for a true containerized batch plant, not a stationary plant shipped in containers that still needs foundations.
- Compare drum size, burner rating and baghouse area for the same rated output.
- Ask how many lifts and connections installation needs, and whether modules are pre-wired.
- Compare the packing lists to estimate freight and inland transport.
- Check which bitumen tanks, filler silo and control room are included.
