Asphalt Mixing Plants for Latin America

From Andean highways to lowland municipal roads, projects in Latin America often combine high altitude, mountain transport and frequent relocation. These are the points we plan for.

Covering: Peru · Colombia · Chile · Ecuador · Bolivia · Mexico

Planning

What matters for a plant in Latin America

  • High altitude

Thinner air reduces burner and fan performance. For sites high in the mountains, the burner, exhaust fan and baghouse must be sized for the altitude — tell us the elevation of the site.

  • Mountain transport

Tight bends and weight limits on mountain roads favour compact, transportable units. We check unit dimensions against your route.

  • Moving with the project

Road programmes often move from one section to the next. Mobile and containerized plants reduce downtime and civil works at every move.

  • Local power supply

Voltage and frequency vary by country — for example 60 Hz in Colombia and Peru, 50 Hz in Chile and Bolivia — so electrics are built to your grid or generator.

Logistics

Shipping and delivery

  • Ocean freight to Pacific and Caribbean ports such as Callao, Buenaventura, Cartagena, Guayaquil and San Antonio, then by road inland
  • Units are planned to suit mountain routes and local transport limits
  • Packing list and documents prepared for customs clearance at the port of entry

Support

How we support your project

  • Plant layout and altitude-adjusted burner and fan selection
  • Installation guidance, commissioning and operator training as agreed for the project
  • Spare parts recommendations for remote mountain sites
  • Troubleshooting guidance after handover

Questions from buyers in Latin America

Does altitude affect asphalt plant capacity?

Yes. Air density drops with altitude, which reduces burner and exhaust fan performance. Plants for high-altitude sites need these components sized for the elevation to reach the rated output.

Mobile or containerized — which is better for mountain projects?

Mobile plants are fastest to relocate by road; containerized plants offer higher outputs and ship easily by sea. The route to site and how often you move usually decide it.

Can you build the plant for 60 Hz power?

Yes. Motors and controls are specified for your local voltage and frequency.
