Asphalt Mixing Plants for Southeast Asia

Monsoon rain, high humidity and projects spread across islands shape how a plant should be specified in Southeast Asia. Here is what we look at when configuring a plant for the region.

Covering: Philippines · Indonesia · Vietnam · Malaysia · Thailand · Cambodia

Planning

What matters for a plant in Southeast Asia

  • Wet aggregate in the rainy season

Every extra percent of moisture in the stone costs drying capacity and fuel. We size the drum and burner for your realistic wet-season moisture, and recommend roofed stockpiles for fine aggregate.

  • Heat and humidity

Electrical cabinets and the control room need sealing, ventilation or air-conditioning, and motors should be rated for high ambient temperatures.

  • Islands and remote districts

Many projects sit far from main ports. Container-sized modules and trailer-mounted units are easier to move by barge, ferry and narrow provincial roads.

  • Local power and fuel

Grid frequency differs across the region — the Philippines runs at 60 Hz, most neighbours at 50 Hz — so motors and controls are built to your local supply. Burners can be set up for diesel, heavy oil or gas depending on what is available on site.

Logistics

Shipping and delivery

  • Ocean freight from Chinese ports to main regional ports such as Manila, Jakarta (Tanjung Priok), Ho Chi Minh City, Port Klang and Laem Chabang
  • Container modules and flat-rack cargo can continue by barge or inter-island ferry where the site is off the main island
  • We plan the shipping list and packing with you so each unit matches the transport available at the destination

Support

How we support your project

  • Plant layout drawing for your site before production starts
  • Installation guidance, commissioning support and operator training as agreed for the project
  • Recommended spare parts list to keep on site, because deliveries to remote islands take time
  • Remote troubleshooting guidance after handover

Questions from buyers in Southeast Asia

Can the plant keep producing during the rainy season?

Yes, if drying capacity is sized for wet aggregate. Tell us the typical moisture of your stone in the rainy months and we will size the drum and burner accordingly; covering stockpiles also helps a lot.

Which plant type suits island projects best?

Containerized plants are usually the easiest: the modules travel as standard freight on ships and barges and install on compacted ground without concrete foundations.

Can the electrical system match 60 Hz power?

Yes. Motors and controls are specified for your local voltage and frequency, including 60 Hz supply.
