Asphalt Mixing Plants for Africa

Long distances from port to site, dusty dry seasons and projects far from workshops make simplicity and support just as important as capacity. This is how we approach plants for African road projects.

Covering: Nigeria · Kenya · Tanzania · Ethiopia · Ghana · Uganda · Zambia

Planning

What matters for a plant in Africa

  • Long inland transport

Sites are often hundreds of kilometres from the port on roads with weight and width limits. We keep units within transportable sizes and plan the loads before production.

  • Dust and heat

Dry seasons mean dusty air around the plant. Baghouse filtration, sealed bearings and well-protected electrical cabinets keep the plant running and the emissions under control.

  • Distance from spare parts

When the nearest workshop is far away, the plant should be simple to maintain. We recommend a starter kit of wear parts and filters to hold on site.

  • Fuel and power on site

Many sites run on generators and diesel or heavy fuel oil. Tell us what you have and we will match the burner and the electrical load to it.

Logistics

Shipping and delivery

  • Ocean freight to main ports such as Lagos (Apapa), Tema, Mombasa and Dar es Salaam, then by road to site
  • Landlocked destinations (for example Uganda, Ethiopia or Zambia) are reached via a coastal port and an overland corridor — we plan loads to suit the route
  • Packing list and marking prepared for customs clearance at the port of entry

Support

How we support your project

  • Layout drawing and site preparation guidance before shipment
  • Installation guidance, commissioning and hands-on operator training as agreed for the project
  • Recommended on-site spare parts kit sized to the distance from the nearest supply
  • Troubleshooting and maintenance guidance after handover

Questions from buyers in Africa

Which plant is easiest to move between projects in Africa?

Containerized plants are usually the easiest to transport long distances and re-install; mobile plants suit moves by road within a region where oversize permits are practical.

Can the plant run on generator power?

Yes. Tell us the generator capacity available and we will confirm the installed power of the plant and advise on generator sizing.

Do you train our operators?

Operator training is part of commissioning support and is arranged as agreed for each project.
